Overview:
The guide is fully illustrated by manga Artist Heby and is written in an easy to follow A – Z format explaining everything a teenage vampire girl would need to know about living life as a modern Vampire.
* What is fashionable to wear when eating out?
* Fang maintenance & how to keep your claws sharp.
* Should you let a boy bite you on the first date?
Easy to understand clear advice is given to every day problems.
Example: When you get an urge to bite:
We all get those normal urges to bite things, and I must point out it is very normal, Claws are all well and good in a fight but a bite gives the extra advantage of getting a refreshing drink at the same time.
Lots of girls worry about showing their Fangs in public believing that to show your fangs is rude, but don’t be shy they can be a girls greatest asset (ok second greatest asset) if a boy is being rude to you, don’t just snarl at him, just bite him! You are a vampire why do you think you have sharp teeth if not for sinking them into a boy that is being rude to you.

My Take on Fangs Rule:

Fangs Rule is not your ordinary manga. Instead it’s an instruction book which just happens to be a KICK-A$$-rocking-good-time. The life of a vampire is not all it’s glamorized to be, especially for women. No, they have it rough. And by rough I mean their lives are dictated to them, even down to who they’ll marry. Crazy right? But if you want to live among the undead turnlings or fit into the full-blooded vamp society, then you’re in luck, because Amy lays down the law in her ultimate A-Z guide.

With witty charm and a hilarious personality, Amy Mah holds nothing back as she divulges vampire secrets so every teenage (female) vampire can be prepared for the lifestyle they have to live. From human boyfriends, to kissing and killing, if you’ve questioned it, she’s answered it. If you were too shy to ask about it, she’s answered those embarrassing questions too. It’s silly yet insightful, and sometimes downright creepyStill, I find it a necessary guide for every vampire loving, paranormal craving, manga reading fanAnd trust me, if what she’s described is true, you will need to learn the secrets in case you one day cross paths with a hunky piece of vampire meat. Furthermore, according to Amy the older the vampire the better. A decent 50 to 100 age range gap is perfect.

For those of you who crave, or at least get a kick out of, gorgeous illustrations, Fangs Rule has those too. Beautifully crafted. Vibrant. Pulsating with tons of energy. I can’t sing the praises of the artwork enough. It adds depth and character to the story. Giving just enough detail to make you WANT more. The cover is stunning. Don’t believe me, take a look.

See…told you.

Overall, Fangs Rule breaks the AWESOME-METERI highly recommend it to everyone looking to add a little something different to their shelf.  It’s definitely a one-of-a-kind story and I can guarantee once you read it you’ll fall in love with Amy Mah too.

My Rating

4.5 out of 5 Controllers

Amy Mah Manga Author?

Am I a manga author? No just a writer that has seen far too many anime films, I love manga art and how one can draw characters that can look so cute.

When I was young I lived on anime films and now my book shelves are still covered with hundreds of anime dvds and these are what corrupted my mind and sense of humor, so if you find my books have a plot that reads like an anime film you will know why.

How is it different?

Well apart from the major character being just like me and that is sarcastic and cynical  and the book being full of full colour manga pictures looking more like a journal than a book ………..well apart from that its kinda like any other book with pages you flip over to see what is happening next.

Favorite parts?

Being a vampire sounds like it should be a cool thing to be as a teenage girl, like sleeping during the day and enjoying a night life with friends, huh, no one had warned me that it also meant having to suffer Teenage Hormones for so long!

I am stuck as a teenager the years may pass but I am the same age!

And as to the rules, so many rules, and vampire school uniforms! Guys have long fancy cloaks that they are always tripping over and as to the Girls uniform, it is a 18th C Nightdress! Yuk !!!

The old male vampires expect a girl to walk about wearing just a see through nightdress with no underwear on!!

As if that is ever going to happen!, they have seen far too many horror films! And besides it is hard enough to try and get a boyfriend without advertising to the whole male population that you are not particularly gifted in the boob department !

Life as a teenager is normally a living hell but even more so when you have fangs.

The world is just out to get me, and not just by people trying to stake me because I have better teeth than they do!

About the Author:
The author Amy Mah (Vampire) is a well known blogger, that writes and blogs as a cynical teenage vampire:

The Real:………… Amy Mah
Ok you want to know about me? Well I am a little older than my Vampire self which you first meet when she is 16, and I am in my 20s.
With my books I have tried to create a different type of vampire series using myself as the main character and so with the help of an excellent cartoonist my true likeness has been changed into a manga cartoon that you will see on the book covers and also inside the books as my book is full to bursting with colour drawings of me and my vampire friends and family.
Once you get to know me and my writing you will discover that I am a little crazy ……heck make that a lot crazy as Amy Mah the vampire character is me!
In creating my vampire world I have added a lot of real stuff which happened in my past and added it into my writings so yes my life has been real crazy in the past to fit into a self help vampire guide!
Fangs Rule (a girls guide to being a vampire) is a funny, cynical and sarcastic look at the problems of life as a teenage vampire, if you think being a teenage human can be problematic you try being a teenage vampire with hormones that mean you may like boys but in a way you would like to know their blood group before you date.
